  The November 1998 release of The NIST WebBook is the fifth edition of the NIST Chemistry WebBook. It contains thermochemical data for over 5000 organic and small inorganic compounds, reaction thermochemistry data for over 8000 reactions, IR spectra for over 5000 compounds, mass spectra for over 10,000 compounds, electronic / vibrational spectra for over 3000 compounds, constants of
  diatomic molecules (spectroscopic data) for over 600 compounds, Ion energetics data for over 14,000 compounds, and thermophysical property data for 16 fluids There are many avenues for searching the database. Structures are given for most species, as well as common and commercial names.
• CODATA KEY VALUES FOR THERMODYNAMICS (free)
  The Committee on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA) has conducted a project to establish internationally agreed values for the thermodynamic properties of key chemical substances. This table presents the final results of the project. Use of these recommended, internally consistent values is encouraged in the analysis of thermodynamic measurements, data reduction, and preparation of other thermodynamic tables. The table includes the standard enthalpy of formation at 298.15 K, the entropy at 298.15 K, and the quantity H ° (298.15 K)-H °(0). A value of 0 in the D_fH ° column for an element indicates the reference state for that element. The standard state pressure is 100000 Pa (1 bar). See the reference for information on the dependence of gas-phase entropy on the choice of standard state pressure. Substances are listed in alphabetical order of their chemical formulas when written in the most common form.

• PhysPros: database and property estimation
  The data base is composed of over 6,500 chemical specie names and their synonyms. There are 28 physical properties for each compound in the data base.  If a particular compound is not in the database, there are 18 properties which can be estimated from standard techniques. You can download a fully functional trial version for Windows 95/98/NT systems freely.

• PHYSPROP: The Physical Properties Database of SRC
  The Physical Properties Database (PHYSPROP) contains chemical structures, names and physical properties for over 13,000 chemicals. Physical properties are collected from a wide variety of sources, and include experimental, extrapolated, and estimated values for:
      melting point
      boiling point
      water solubility
      vapor pressure
      dissociation constant
      octanol/water partition coefficient
      Henry's Law constant
  PHYSPROP is available in ISISBase format (MDL Information Systems, Inc.). This program allows PHYSPROP to be searched by substructure, name fragment, or any of the physical properties.
